Daniel M. P. Shaw is an established singer-songwriter mixing different musical styles and traditions, but with a folky element to most things he does. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of indie folk rock band, The Flocking Murmuration and formerly a member of world-pop-folk trio Tiger the Lion.

On 1st January 2017, Dan set himself a challenge - to write a song every day for a whole year. This album is the seventh collection of those songs - days 66 to 75 of the "A Song, A Day, A Year" project. It includes new additions to his ongoing suite of personal 'heart songs' , an ode to Chuck Berry (Mr. Rock n Roll himself), a punky folk-rocker that refuses to say "goodbye," but most of all it offers the first bunch of rough-and-ready recordings of Dan's collaboration with his own late Great-Great-Grandfather, Richard Scott, known in his lifetime as "The Blacksmith Poet of Tyneside" who wrote mostly in local dialect: "The Geordie" . 50% of all proceeds go to a variety of worthy causes.
